Brian was first introduced to exercise and fitness through participation in his high school track and field team and gymnastics in 2004. One year and many internet searches later, he found CrossFit NYC, an informal fitness club that met in Central Park. After a few sessions, Brian knew that CrossFit’s principles would not only be applicable to his own athletic endeavors, but incredibly beneficial to the average gym goer as well.
Brian left CFNYC briefly to attend school at Syracuse University and worked as a personal trainer while studying for a degree in Exercise Science. Not only did he get involved with various Strength and Conditioning programs, but he was also the “founder” of the Syracuse Olympic Weightlifting team. (And was the only athlete, coach, and cheerleader!) Brian then interned at California Strength under David Spitz, training athletes of all ages and sports. During his internship, he trained with the Olympic Weightlifting team under Coach Glenn Pendlay. Brian competes at the National level in Olympic Weightlifting (77 kg weight class) and is highly successful at the Local level as well.
Brian utilizes his education in Exercise Science and experience with Olympic Lifting, Track, and Gymnastics to do what he loves most: helping all levels of athletes get better, faster and stronger.
