“Specialty WODs” are all the classes we offer on Wednesdays and Sunday. Those include Olympic Weightlifting (also called “OlyWOD”), Functional Strength, Active Recovery, and CrossFit Endurance (also called “CFE”).
These workouts are a great addition to the Beginner or Experienced Programming. They are an opportunity to work on skills and movements that show up in our regular programming. Or to work on skills that bias to a certain type of training (strength, mobility, technique). Depending on how often you attend CrossFit NYC each week, Wednesdays might also be a good rest day option.
