Site Update

As you can see, we just pushed through a much-needed site update. Apologies for any bugginess during the transition; we’ll do our best to fix things quickly!

    How do we see tomorrow’s workout on the new site?

      We’re getting the previewing de-bugged, but in the meantime, here’s a preview for Friday AND Saturday:

      FRIDAY
      All Levels/Beginners:
      A. 5×2 Deadlifts
      B. 21-15-9 for time:
      Deadlifts (155/103)
      Pull-ups

      Experienced:
      A. Work up to a heavy hang power clean in 12 minutes.
      B. 20 minute AMRAP:
      3 Hang Power Cleans (185/123)
      6 Strict Ring Dips
      9 Box Jumps (30/24)
      27 Double Unders

      CFE:
      20 min amrap:
      1 mile run Buy In
      -Then-
      10 push-ups
      20 jump switch lunges
      30 double unders
      Rest 10 minutes.
      1 mile run for time.
      ————————————————————–
      SATURDAY:
      All Classes:
      Open WOD 13.3 and 12.4:
      Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 12 minutes of:
      150 Wall balls (20/14)
      90 Double Unders
      30 Muscle ups

    Nice new website. I know you are trying to upgrade and better our box website. A couple of comments…
    First where is our sneak peak to Friday’s wod or following days wod?

    Secondly, where are the articles that Allison puts up daily?

    Lastly, I’m noticing now comments are now separated with beg, exp, and endurance. As a box member for one year I really enjoy reading all the comments together, no matter what class you took… makes me feel like part of one big community.. now it looks like they are separated… it makes me feel like we are getting more segregated (yes I still go to beginner wod after a year) and isn’t the point of Crossfit is to be a part of a great big community no matter what your level is?

      I TOTALLY agree about the comments. It used to feel more like a forum/conversation, where we could see how our friends in different classes were doing, and really connect across levels. Please bring that back :(

    Snazzy update! I am nothing if not a fan of big pretty pictures on home pages.

    At the risk of being repetitive, I’m definitely in the camp that misses seeing the WOD a day or two ahead of time. I try not to use it for “that WOD sounds miserable, I think I’ll skip,” but it is good to know so I can make decisions like: “Hmm, my shoulders are really sore/tweaked from Monday’s WOD and looks like Fran is coming up, so maybe i should cancel and give my shoulders a break.” Or any other reason I might cancel, or have to consider canceling. It lets me cancel a day or even two days in advance, potentially freeing up a space for someone on the wait list with plenty of time for them to make any necessary adjustments to their schedule. It’s also good for those that need to pack extra equipment the night before (Oly shoes, their favorite speed rope, etc).

    Other than that (and the fact that my iPhone has trouble loading the site because of “too many redirects”), looks great!

    Hey all!
    All of the points raised, are actually aspects of the site that didn’t launch properly. The comments will NOT be segregated by class, but rather all pooled together when you click the pic of the day. (There won’t even be a comment option under each of the separate workouts, so there won’t be any chance for confusion.)
    As for the sneak peek of the next days wod, I am under the impression that they are still going to be available. Hang with us as we fine tune all the details over the next couple of days. Hope you like it. :)

      Thanks Stacey…As always we love improvements and appreciate all you guys do. There will be kinks with anything new but we know it will be for the better…

      I’m just sad about Josh announcement. :(

      Whoo! And it loads fine on my iPhone now, so the “too many redirects” issue, whatever that actually means, seems to have been resolved. Who knows, maybe it was on my end.

    Hi, I have a long run tomorrow. Thoughts on doing today’s WOD that’s DL heavy?

      If this DL day is your 4th day in a row, then no, you should rest.

      If you rested yesterday or Wednesday then come in for DL today, run tomorrow, and rest on Sunday.
