Stoked Mentoring Event and Fundraiser — Tues., Dec. 3rd!

Over the past few months, the CFNYC community has done a lot of great fundraising. We wanted to thank you for your work thus far, and to invite you to join us in our last – and biggest – fundraiser of the year!
CrossFit NYC has partnered with Stoked, a non-profit organization run by one of our members, which uses action sports to close the opportunity gap for urban youth. The money that we raise will provide New York City kids the opportunity to learn to swim, surf, skateboard, and snowboard throughout the year – not only teaching them the importance of fearlessness and empowerment, but also what Stoked calls their 3 pillars: Resilience, Self-Reliance, and Community.

There is a profound overlap between the pillars of Stoked and CrossFit. We wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of hard work and community, and because of that, we are hoping to raise $14,000 for the cause – enough to bring the Stoked program to one more school than they otherwise could. All day on Tuesday, December 3rd, we are holding a “Stoked” WOD, which was designed by Coach Sully and Coach Kyle, and we’ve reached out to a slew of supporters to provide you with GREAT prizes for fundraising.

So far we have locked down PR Wrist Wraps, Rx Jump Ropes, Life as Rx, Nutriforce Sports supplements, SHUT Skateboards, Bern Helmets, and Harry’s Shave Club, and we’re working on even more. Plus we’re putting up a 6 month CFNYC membership as a prize AND Stoked is giving 2 tickets to their Stoked Awards show! We’ll have more prizes and details as the date approaches.
