Is there any chance 26th Street can be opened for some morning weekend WODs? Today at 28th Street just seemed a bit crowded/chaotic. Maybe it was the WOD itself. But I find it hard to concentrate on burpees when there is a 75lb power snatch landing right next to my skull.

And not to mention the members who thoughtlessly stroll right through a class. Some common courtesy for your fellow athletes would be nice.

I know you have done a good job responding to the crowd control issues. I just wanted to know if other members would be interested in using 26th Street on weekends.

The busiest WOD this AM had 16 people in it (9:30 AM) and at that time, there was only one other WOD running. The real problem is that the quadrants aren’t being organized.

The racks are left 18 inches from the wall. Rowers (which aren’t being used) are in the quadrants, etc. When this happens, people tend to get concentrated in a smaller foot print than is necessary.

The blame lies with us. Some of our instructors have been allowing our members to leave a mess that only gets progressively worse. As an example, the ropes that were used in the WOD on Thursday are still out on the floor.

In August, we will probably be moving the Saturday Competition WOD’s from 28 Street to 67 Street, which will further reduce crowding. (Although this AM, the Competition WOD’s did not start until 11:00 AM, so they were probably not as much as a factor as the poorly organized floor space.)

        Thanks Hari.

Call me old school, but FWIW, I’m still very biased towards 26th Street.

You’re going to love 67th Street, which is becoming The New Old School.

159 (RX weight, green & blue bands strict)
I think I wrote 164 on the whiteboard. And “RX”… Fatigue clearly saps me of all simple math skills and causes me to over-inflate my capacity: RX’d weight, but big shoutout to those bands. ::facepalm::

Last two days will make tomorrow’s rest all the more sweet.

    157. Rx weight; green and blue bands. Kinda unhappy with this. This wod was a lot worse than I expected.
