As more than 70 of our members are already signed up for the upcoming Civilian Military Combine race at the Intrepid, Sea, Air & Space Museum on April 6th, we’ve managed to wrangle a special $100 discounted ticket price for our members. You can join in the fun by registering at
If you’ve considered doing an obstacle race, but have been scared off by the running, this one is perfect for you: given the unusual venue, the distance is less than a mile, but stuffed chock full of obstacles – a great chance to put your CrossFit skills to the test in the real world. And with the largest team already, you can help us represent CrossFit and CFNYC in high style.
From member David Blair:
Operation Homefront (“OH”) is the main charity supported by the Civilian Military Combine. Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors specifically related to the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. This includes things like rent/mortgage payment, food, utilities and other essential needs that many of us take for granted. Our military families are in need of our help and we have an obligation to support the families of the brave men and women who help keep America safe, it is the very least we can do. If you want to learn more about OH and potentially help support OH either by volunteering or raising money as part of competing in the CMC please contact David Blair at David_blair6@hotmail.com or 646-530-0978. Check out this video to see an example of how OH has helped folks.
