Why you should register for “Hope for Kenya”

As you probably already know, CFNYC is participating in the “Hope for Kenya” fundraiser on Saturday, February 16th:

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 12 minutes of:
50 Squats
30 Push-ups
15 Pull-ups

To participate in “Hope for Kenya” at CFNYC, you must CLICK HERE to REGISTER and create a profile.

So far we have these folks signed up: Hari, Court, Daniel L., Jenny T., KaHee, Keka, Kent, Kevin B., Kyle, Nerissa, and yours truly. With CFNYC’s membership now exceeding 1000 people, I think we can do better than that.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. The WOD on Saturday the 16th will be the “Hope for Kenya” WOD. So if you’re planning to work out that day with us, you’ll be doing the WOD. So why not register and raise a few bucks (or donate a few bucks to your own profile!) and feel better that day by helping others.

As KaHee said to me in email today, “We can’t do everything, but we can all do something for our global neighbors!” The sorts of things we take for granted in the U.S. are the same sorts of things CrossFit Kenya initiative plans to bring to rural Kenya.

If you cannot participate on the 16th but would like to make a DONATION, please CLICK HERE.

Still have questions? Read through the FAQ and then if you’re still not sure of something after that, please post to comments. And see you on the 16th!!

If CrossFit’s helped you, help CrossFit help the Kenyans!

  • I signed up, but I’m not sure what time or where I’m doing the workout. Will that info be sent separately?

    • Zac, thanks for signing up! Because the “Hope for Kenya” 12-minute AMRAP will be the WOD on February 16th, all you have to do is pre-register for a class that day of your choosing then come in and do the WOD at 28th St.!
