    Last time I deadlifted for max effort was January 26th. While 315 wasn’t my absolute max, I felt I was pretty close. So three months of Crossfit 3-4 days a week allows me to pull a 70lb PR.

    To quote Mr. Prouse from one of my first WODs back in December, “stick with it Reis…this shit works, I promise.” I guess I’m inclined to believe him at this point…

      While not as dramatic an improvement as Reis’, my previous max deadlift was 185 on Feb. 22; today, it’s 210.

      This shit *does* work.

      Reis, you did an amazing job! While I appreciate the compliment to me, it’s totally undeserved. Camille did rock it, but I failed to get 1 rep today on the same weight I’d done a 5RM on a few weeks back. I feel weak….

      thanks, and well done yourself. it was a pr day on that back left platform.

      hadn’t sniffed 300# in over a year and had managed to hurt myself on nearly every previous heavy deadlift day, so yesterday was a huge leap forward (especially since i report no lower back issues this morning).

      thanks to kent b for encouraging me not to linger and fatigue on excessive warmups, to justin for urging me to ditch the lifting shoes in favor of my Vans (is it the shoes? it’s gotta be the shoes!), and to court for biting his tongue as i rounded and hitched my way through that last rep.

    Before Crossfit my PR was 290.

    Last couple of lifts were, well…twisty. But got them up.
