    Doesn’t look like there is enough interest in the September 12 Black Box Games to make them work. We’ll decide over the next few days whether we need to cancel.

    The next Friday Rest Day is at the start of the Labor Day Weekend. I haven’t picked a restaurant, but I’m sure I can find something that fits our needs, once I see that there is interest. Whose in?

    Has anyone experienced calve soreness after a jump in KB weight?

    Adam,
    Probably an indication that your form broke down a bit in the jump to a heavier KB. You’re probably letting the bell pull you forward a little bit and pressing through your toes to propel it up instead of your heels. Next time, root yourself solidly, don’t let the bell pull you, and really focus on driving through your heels and getting a good solid hip explosion – remember, a snappy hip is a happy hip, as Martone says.

    Did Jacinto’s 6x(6,6,6) workout (although I think I might have only gotten 5 rounds in…).
    It happens to be chock full of things I suck at! Great workout… even if I had to substitute very heavily just to keep going through it.
    Finisher – Tabata style GHD sit ups, only 10 rounds instead of 8.

    Not sure what happened on round 9…

    hi everyone-
    I recently took a job in CT and so, sadly, my last wod will probably be Tuesday – I’ll be at the 7pm WOD out in BK and was then thinking about grabbing some food/drink after. Would love if people could join!
    It’s been awesome working out with everyone. I’ll be joining Crossfit Persevere up in Glastonbury, CT, but I’ll definitely be back to drop in some weekends :)

    Depends on your friend’s carrier, but I’ve found Kyle Worrell with Manhattan Sports Medicine to be quite good.
    He’s a chrio, but also does A.R.T. if you need it. He used to be a strength coach and has run 3 iron mans. He understands from experience the effects various types of training have on our bodies.

    I know a chiro who, if he accepts your health insurance, doesn’t bother charging you co-pays. Has a masseuse on had some days, too. Want me to fish out his info? It’s been a while since I went because I didn’t find chiropractic care useful, but some people love it.
    I’m around for Labor Day, so if there’s a dinner, I’m in.

    Just wondering why on some of my muscle ups, i can get one arm over the top of the ring and then the other arm after it…as opposed to getting both arms transitioned to the dip position at the same time. sometimes my arm swings out and the shoulder is being jerked awkwardly…any advice would be appreciated.

    Did 14 Rounds of Nate today. Still using 45 lb plate and ab mat for Handstand Push-ups, but they are getting easier to do.

    Would you be interested in a potluck and drinks at my place? I am blessed with the space to host a good number of people. I live in midtown on the east side.
    I approve of leisurely lounging around on rest days (and at social gatherings), which is sometimes hard to do at a bar/restaurant.
    It’s true that a bar/restaurant requires nothing of you besides your presence and money and I’d request that you actually bring something to eat/drink/share with everyone else. But I’m a house party kinda gal, especially while I happen to live in this particular house (apt), so I thought I’d offer up the possibility to you.
