From the CrossFit/Brand X forums, in regards to how to approach today's workout:
--------------
Today, everyone is a Big Dawg! Do the WOD as RX’d. If you are unfamiliar with the movements watch the videos and then use a weight that will allow you to do the WOD.

I would add that even if you are familiar with the movements (as anyone who trains with us at the Box is) I still recommend watching the videos. Visual reinforcement of proper technique can be rather helpful in rehearsing the movements mentally before coming down to the Box to actually attempt them.

Just wanted to mention that the Jacinto video is even better if you watch the full-length version on the Journal page (which you need a subscription to view).

In the full-length version, you'll not only see cameos by Hari, Michelle and Keith, but you'll also get to see Max and I gush over Jacinto's general awesomeness.

Happy birthday again, Jacinto!

Yesterday was awesome. The workout sucked. The BBQ was great. And the video is really inspirational.

That is probably like one of the best video profiles CFHQ has ever put out. Happy Birthday again Jacinto. Very cool to meet your family at the BBQ yesterday.

rehab deadlifts
225x10
235x10
245x10

Strict Press: 135-155-165-170-175
Push Press: 175-185-195-205-210
Push Jerk: 185-195-205f-205-135 (skill)

I've realized that I only post when I'm proud of the work I've done on that day. Probably not the best way to be accountable.

Anyway the workout today was painful but I got three kipping pullups in a row!!! I can still do more consecutive dead hangs, but now that I have the general idea of how to string the kipping pull ups together, that is a huge step for me. Very exciting.

Press: 135, 155, 165, 175f, 175f
Push Press: 175x3, 185x3, 195x2, 195x1, 195x1
Push Jerk: 155x5, 165x5, 175x5, 185x3, 185x2

Stict press seems to be getting worse and push presses didn't go that well today either. Push jerks felt better, but my shoulders were smoked by the last 2 sets.

35&36 burpees. Needed to catch up.

Jeff, I'm in for dinner.

I'll probably be late for rest day dinner... depending on how work goes that day.
Btw, not that I've ever been or could even wake up early enough, but what's the status on the morning class cancellations? thanks!

Oh, how I love days that test my (lack of) upper body strength!

Press: 53, 53, 53(F), 53(F), 48
Push Press: 53, 53, 53, 55, 56.5 (Thanks, Ash!)
Push Jerk: 43, 43, 43, 43, 43

I still find the Push Jerk to be a totally contradictory, baffling lift.

36 burpees.
