    I’m looking forward to OHS.
    As you can see if you peruse the Games photos, my form was way off over the weekend. Thanks to coaching on Tuesday night from Brian on my front squats, I anticipate a better performance on this workout. Due to ankle weirdness, however, I may need to sub rowing for running.

    Good CFE class today as well as last night. WOD-“superfield”-everyone did a great job.
    It was awesome to see big guys like Gabe running sprints. Kate was evil in pushing everyone to do 2 extra rounds. Impressive that everyone agreed.
    There is a 5k run in Van courtland park tomorrow night (thursday) 7p.
    Next CFE class sunday 3p @ BBB.

    This isn’t CrossFit related but was hoping someone here might have some info they could share. Does anyone know of some basketball courts that can be rented out in the city?
    I have been tasked with creating a weekly basketball game for work. The best part is I am terrible at basketball!

    I recall that all-day multi-seminar thing BBB did a few months back. I have to say, it was a great day and seemed to really help a bunch of people gain some skills.
    I’m a big fan of KB’s…so I’m up for any kind of skills work you can throw at me. To you and Jim…let’s get some comp bells asap for swings/jerks/etc (I’ve recently learned not great for juggling).

    I ended up missing BOTH CFE’s this week, grrr. The first thought I had after oversleeping this morning was that I need to get a cat to wake me up. The alarm clock just isn’t working.

    Subbed 65# and slightly longer runs since last time’s route felt a little short. This time I ran from the box to the corner of 6th Ave./27th St. and back instead of through the Antique Cafe “park” and back. First time I did this WOD I went with 45#. Form felt ok with 65# this time, so I should go up a little more next time.

    I never thought I’d say this, but I claim a rower tonight.
    Stupid burpee challenge. I’m pretty sure it led to a stress fracture. If anyone has any expert advice on how to strategically sub-CF WOD’s so that you don’t have to bear any weight on your feet, let me know!
    Also, I’d love a KB seminar, but I’ll be out of town that weekend.

    My runs must have been really slow. I know the OHS weren’t fast either but I’m still trying to figure out how it took me so long.
    Plan for next time – suck less at both OHS and running.

    Brian K – My friends rent out St. Bart’s Church basement at 50th and park for basketball.
    Missed classes today so did a 12 min “Nate” at home. 7 rounds. First WOD after spending 2 weeks in Eastern Europe drinking a ton of beer. It hurt.

    23:57 w/11#. Think I hyperextended my left elbow too frequently or something because my left thumb was all pins and needles after the workout and has stayed tingly/numb since (but I can still move it around and feel things; it’s not worrisome, just weird). Any thoughts on making that go away?

    22 – something. It was a heavily modified Kelly. Rowing for running, and I started with the 33# bar and finished with the PVC pipe because I felt my awkward balance with weight stressing my foot.
