That was my first WOD, after Elements. I scaled it pretty heavily and still posted a pretty slow time. Looking forward to killing it tomorrow, as Rx'd.

LOVE LINK NUMBER ONE! (of course) - it's the Ministry of SILLY Walks, though not funny ones. Very important bureaucratic distinction. ;)

Jeff,

Great job with last night's dinner! Thanks.

did anyone garb a blue nike gym bag last night? i seem to have misplaced it.

....reminder for tomorrow's movie night at Sam's Apartment

Hey everyone, were having a lil get together at GoodSam's (970 Kent ave in Brooklyn) this Sunday to watch 'Every Second Counts' (The CF Movie) its by suggested donation of 10$, which will go to the CFNYC Affiliate cup fund. Also its BYOB, so bring drinks and bring any and all kinds of food. She has a quite accommodating kitchen. Also its kind of a big space and kind of a huge screen so hope to see many of you make it out there.

Fun WOD. Thanks Torch!

I'm begining to suspect that there is less gravity in Brooklyn, even though BBB is on the ground floor and thus closer to the center of the earth.

Did my burpees on the beach :)

Thanks for organizing last night, Jeff! I had a blast.

I shall make this madness up on Tuesday.

20 minutes and change as Rx'd. +Tabata pushups as a finisher.

The last couple rounds of lunges were the worst—they stayed the same length while the "rest" in between got shorter and shorter. Brutal.

Can't exactly say I killed it, but I definitely feel like I've come a long way since Elements 2 months ago. Still a long way to go, which is good.

Hari- I am an occasional 6 o'clocker and I do follow the blog. For me personally, if you have to cancel the 6 am class it's not the end of the world—7 am fits my schedule too, it's just a little tighter.

Final Schedule Update for Next Week AM:

All classes are covered. Nothing will be canceled.

Mon, Wed, Fri (6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM WOD's): Jeff
Tues, Thur (6:00 AM WOD, 7:00 AM Elements, 8:00 AM): Torch
Tues, Thur (7:00 AM WOD, 8:00 AM) Max

Thank you, Jeff, Max, Torch

Yowza - 4 minutes slower (18:52) than last time (14:45), HOWEVER:

I completed all pullups chest-to-bar (and then some, like the ones I didn't get chest-to-bar). My first time aiming for that standard.

Also, my brain was a bit scrambled and I ended up skipping one set of sit-ups and adding them onto another.

Hand-tearing remains my limiting factor in WODs like this one. I really have to psych myself back on the bar when it gets all fleshy. Ripped AGAIN even though I shaved my hands yesterday.

Oh, right...also did this:

tabata HSPUs with the band assist (best set 12, worst 3) and grip cashouts with the heaviest KBs in the box (farmer’s walks and just standing around).

16:49 with small band for pull-ups.

This is almost 7 minutes quicker than my previous time when I failed to complete all the pull-ups assisted (with a bigger band too) and had to finish rounds 15 - 6 off with jumping pull-ups. Crossfit is so much fun. Thanks to everyone in BK for the encouragement!
