    I thought this was going to be a 5 minute workout. This was horrible. I didn’t think I’d finish the first round. HSPUs off a box. Bar dips. 30 lb assist on the dip after the first round. Bad pushup form. The whole thing was embarrassing. I might as well have read the workout out loud and stayed at home. 14:47 (46,18)

    On the other hand, you did it. Good for you! You now have a standard to beat the next time this comes up. And you will.

    If it makes you feel better, I have vivid memories of doing this at Five Points – one of our many homes before we opened the Box – with Coach Dan Def when he was a brand new CF’er.
    We figured it looked easy, too, and so decided to sub ring pushups for the pushups.
    Needless to say, that didn’t end well.

    subbed jumping ring dips (hard as hell to stabilize at full lockout and not go flailing around)
    did a wonderful array of ridiculous handstand pushups including free-standing without abmat, against the wall, yadda yadda
    eventually settled on an abmat under my head, kicking up into handstand, lowering down to my head (and in several instances, falling over into a backbend), recentering myself and ‘kipping’ or exploding or whatever-ing up into handstand with full lock-out and stabilizing in a vertical handstand (as often as possible, which was most of the time –> when I failed and was at too great an angle, I just didn’t count it and did it again)
    for the last two rounds I moved close enough to the wall that I could touch my feet to it on the way down (no more plopping over) and far enough away that I had the space to extend up to full handstand without use of the wall (one needs a certain amount of head and booty space for that)
