From the CrossFit/Brand X forums, scaling info about this WOD along with info about the deadlift:

“I wish I knew how you could overstate the value of the deadlift.“
-Greg Glassman-

Here are some vids everybody should watch regarding the deadlift whether you are familiar with the lift or not:

If you are familiar with this lift then you are a Big Dawg today:

Big Dawgs:
as Rx’d

Everybody else, if you are unfamiliar with the lift watch the videos above and the use the time today to practice this lift with a piece of PVC pipe or a light barbell.

A wise investment is the book Starting Strength 2nd edition by Mark Rippetoe. If you don’t have a coach this book will help you understand the lifts. If you do have a coach it will point out how little he/she knows.

Hard to find space to do this at the local rec center, but got it done after work.

Warm up: 45x10, 45x10, 135x3

185, 185, 185, 190, 200

I think I could have done more if my legs weren't mush from yesterday's make up Murph, but this was definite improvement since the last time I did this WOD where 185 on the third set was really difficult and I had to drop down in weight.

255, 275, 305, 325, 355

I really enjoyed this today - here's to more heavy days.

Tony great job as always but i know you can go wayyyyy heavier on those -next time i am going to stand there and make sure of it:)

avery amazing! i hope to see yu around more! i didnt want to bug u during ur make up murph but you looked awesome!

just a general question on membership incentives etc. have "we" thought of any type of referral incentive? i.e if a member introduces someone to the gym who then signs up for a year or six months- is there a "reward" offerred to the member who introduced the newbie? or for every x amount of referrals the member gets a free month or free water? :)

Jaun...thanks for the media.

Fun day for my first day back to the box.

95-135-145-145-155. Gotta start somewhere.

Thanks for taking the video of my 295. I haven't done DL with any considerable load in a long while and this was heavy for me at this point.

I've abused my wife's patience for some time doing the WODs at home, so I'm jumping on The Black Box wagon now ;-)

Out of town. I managed to find a small barbell and some weights, but no more than 125 lbs, so that's what I did.

I'll try to beat my deadlift pr tonight, after the hang power cleans.
