Gillian and Mike - Thank you so much for testerday. It was awesome. One of the greatest, hardest workouts I've ever done. The energy between all of us made it so exciting and made me feel great even when I felt like I was going to kick the bucket or puke in it. Gillian, you are unreal. Strong is an understatement. Nice doesn't cut it either. You're really cool. Total CrossFit Rockstar.
All of you guys at the Box are really lucky to have such an awesome Coach and such an incredible athlete in your gym.
If you haven't taken a class with Mike, do it.
If you haven't seen Gillian work out, make a point to catch a show. Especially the girls. She's inspiring.
All,
Thanks for the well wishes the other day! I'll definitely miss working out with y'all! And if any of you find yourselves coming through minneapolis, let me know. or better yet, stop by and workout with the Kettlebell Underground Collective. It's not crossfit, but we still manage to kick it pretty hard: http://thekettlebellunderground.blogspot.com/
I'll no doubt be back to visit and will for sure drop in and see you all! many thanks for the training, inspiration, and very good times!
Mike, is a caveman!

Left my green Burton hat on the floor. If you could just toss it to the side, I will pick it up this week. Thanks.

Friday Rest Night Dinner
August 8 @ 8:00 PM (or when you finish at Black Box)
http://www.chinosnyc.com/
We're trying to get back in the routine. Last month, there was the sudden shift caused by the two-day cycle, followed by the dinner in Brooklyn. This time, many of us will be at the Olympic Lifting Cert in Boston. Nonetheless, many of you will be in town (and all of you who are should definitely be at that night's Rest Day Seminar: Adam will be teaching the Snatch at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM; details to follow).
There are also several birthdays to celebrate: Kurt, Michelle, Zach, and another big one, soon to be announced.
So, who is in?
I did my wod at south brooklyn and my time was
25:43 my total time and I see that the black box is not counting the rest min.if that's the case then my time
was
19:43
which means that this old man is back kicking ass.
Iam sorry everyone Iam just so happy getting back in shape.Ijust hope I did not offend anyone by that last remark. It's been a bad year for me.Right now Iam over joyed.
jacnto
Daaaaaamn, Jacinto! That is great time! It's great to see how quickly you've bounced back.
The times I posted do not include four minutes of rest.
Jacinto-
I never knew you had stopped kicking ass! ;-) Great to hear you are feeling better.
Congratulations again to our Brian D. for getting published in Performance Menu this month; the first of many journal articles in what I'm sure will be a noteworthy career.
Jacinto will you ever stop kicking ass?
As I mentioned before, some of us are headed out to the beach tomorrow. If you want to come along head out to Penn Station, we* will be there to catch the 10:15am train to Jones Beach.
We got lucky with the WOD, so bring running shoes if you want to give it a shot.
*so far there is a decent size group
