Run 15 K

At the Box, we'll be adapting this WOD, for obvious reasons. We've got 4 rowers, so we'll do some long rows for those who'd like to do that, and personally I'm open to other options at the lunchtime class that I'll be teaching. (Josh, if you're reading this and want to weigh in in the comments as to what your plans are for the evening classes, please do so.)

"Tabata You Gotta Be Kidding Me"
Consecutive Tabata intervals (i.e., 8 rounds of 20 sec of work followed by 10 sec of rest) of the following 4 exercises:
--wallball
--pullups
--squats
--sumo deadlift highpulls

(not sure what weights were done on wallball or SDLHPs)

Thanks guys. I wondered when that picture would resurface. The story that Allison alluded to, is that I grabbed a pair of shorts quickly in the morning to take to the gym. When I arrived at B3, I realized I had taken my gf's pants instead. Needless to say, I wasn't going home without a workout, but they didn't exactly...fit right. :)

Sunday Beach WOD
(Aug 3)

This weekend is supposed to be looking real nice.
So I was wondering who would be interested in going out to Jones Beach to get some Sun, Crossfit and Beer.

Those interested, meet up at 10am Sunday at Penn station.
(there's a 10:15am train, and then short bus ride)


*hopefully we'll get lucky and get a beach friendly WOD from HQ. But im sure we'll manage, especially with all the burpees everyone's been doing.

I am in for the beach on sunday. I'm bringing my roommate along, and yes, she is hot.

I'll be slogging through Central Park tonight trying to get this done. If anyone is up there, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Box shirt. I'll be running the big loop with an extra lap around the reservoir + to and from home to make it 9.3 miles.

Wow. I've been reading these reviews for Payard and they certainly aren't flattering, especially in regards to the service!

I think one critic complained that they ordered a drink and they were largely ignored by a snooty bartender who couldn't be bothered as he was doing kettlebell swings.

I didn't have time to do the full 15K today and only got 10K in (one lap of the Central Park big loop, which may be a little under 10K)
...so, 10K: 49:48.8

If I'm feeling ambitious this weekend, I might try the full 15K after one of the WODs since it's a goal of mine to bring my 10K time under 45 minutes.

At CrossFit South Brooklyn:

AMRAP in 15 minutes of:

5 95# full squat cleans
10 chest to the bar pull-ups

5 pull-ups short of 10 rounds


hate to make excuses but my legs were just a little bit tired from those OHS. I kept moving the whole time though.

1:31:21 Legs were very heavy and tired towards the end but wind was good. Route was around central park big loop, around reservoir and back to apartment.

What's the rest day workshop(?) topic tomorrow?
