For todays wod Can you kip on the pullups or are they strict pullups?
Brian, you can kip.
Whenever a CrossFit WOD calls for "pullups" and doesn't specify "strict pullups", you're free to kip away.
We just insist on full range of motion (as always): from completely straightened arms at the bottom to at LEAST chin over the bar at the top.
For max-rep pullups, you just can't let go of the bar or rest on a box in the midst of the pullups. For some people it's their grip strength that eventually fails them and forces them to stop.
