Can anyone recommend a good sports/deep tissue/myofascial massage therapist near the box in Manhattan?

Regarding the Iron Maven article on back health: I read the article to say that back extensions, done at WoD speed, are damaging to your spine as the muscles are not made to do that kind of movement. Is this something to be concerned about? Should we be doing hip extensions on the GHD? I usually do those anyway, but that is more due to the awkwardness of the non-male friendly GHD that we have.

Kurt,

At the cert I attended a couple of weeks ago, the trainers addressed this and YES, we really should be doing Hip Extensions for timed WODs.

Hey, could someone from the BBB bring my little ipod stereo (made by logic) that I left there to the Manhattan space Thursday?

Does the beginner class cancellation today mean the box won't be open, or can i show up around 6 to get my FGB on?

Everyone did awesome last night. Great vibe at the box for FGB. Elise - you kicked ass - it was a pleasure/honor to count for you. Your PP's were super strong - you could have sent the bar through the roof.
Dave, i'm coming for you. How did you beat me by one? Me - 355, Dave 356. It was that damn heart rate monitor you were wearing - I think it sent you an electrical shock every time you tried to stop.

Nice efforts, everyone. Quite a few of you smoked me...suuuuuux.
Sorry about the batteries on the C2 rowers. Dan R. is doing FGB today and just discovered they both can take standard D sized batteries and it took him about a minute to go and buy them. I would have discovered this last night but someone stopped me from looking, insisting that C2s take a "special battery".

FGB 304 with Rower set at 15 calories / round cuz it was broken.
