The pull-up system in Manhattan is now fully functional.
The air-conditioning system in Manhattan currently remains an unsolved source of embarrassment.

CAPTION CONTEST!
What's Jeff thinking? (photo courtesy of JuanGolia)

Jeff:
"I should have worn my sweet Crossfit Fishkill shirt like Moon!"
That was the shameless plug caption.
"Why do bubbles always appear over my head when I'm thinking about something?"
"Jeff no like camera. Camera flash again, Jeff EAT camera."
That expression is great, Jeff.
What did the lunch class do for a WOD?
"The air-conditioning system in Manhattan currently remains an unsolved source of embarrassment."
It appears more forceful action against our landlord is in order. Rent abatement and/or placement of rent in an escrow account while the air conditioning remains useless may be in order. We could also investigate fixing the air conditioning ourselves and deducting the cost from our rent. Windowless air conditioners, while not a very practical solution, could be option. Last night’s Fight Gone Bad in a room that was 15-20 degrees hotter than the street temperature was intolerable. This situation will only worsen as 90 degree days in July and August arrive. People will get hurt doing a WOD in a 110 degree room.

I would probably opt for large high output industrial fans if it were one or the other. 2 or 3 of these tall high speed fans would probably do the trick.
Re: Air conditioning...
Why not just call it Bikram Crossfit and charge extra?
Genius. And then we can earn the money to buy air conditioning by selling CrossFit branded oral dehydration solution.
Everyone, join me for a training run on Saturday morning on the Beast.
The Beast is a big set of stairs (about 15 consecutive flights) in Jersey, and if that's not enough there are some massive hills as well.
We'll all meet at the Ralph Cramden statue in front of the Port Authority at 39th and 8th at 7:45 AM. Bus leaves promptly at 8:15. 20 minute trip each way, but the bus only comes once an hour.
I'm in for the training run. Last hard training day before the games. For those of you that have never been there, these stairs will kick your butt. Cool playground nearby as well with very padded rubber on the ground -perfect for handstand practice.
Coach P-can we leave maybe at 5:45 am because I want to beat the crowds there on saturday morning.
:)
erica, jeff tom, and me, made it down to Virginia Beach in one piece. We also made it out to Beach Crossfit and Jeannie was nice enough to dish out the pain.

Way to represent both the Box and Brooklyn Box guys and girls!!! Respect!
yo is the class schedule wrong? it said 6:45 / 7:30 for tonight, but we started at 7. did a lot of deadlifts.
Chad, I just fixed the class schedule in MINDBODY Online to reflect accurately when exactly evening classes meet.
So just to reiterate, Mon-Fri, 6-7pm and 7-8pm are Workout of the Day Classes.
Did Jaciento's deadlift/pushup/pullup thingy.
6 rounds + 10 pullups + 6 pushups.
Anyone done the wod yet? I've been thinking about it all morning. Looks hard.
