Despite the extensive instruction for muscle ups that Brian D already posted, I've decided to try my hand at offering what I think are the most helpful tips to put you on the fast track to entrance into one of NYC's most prestigious and exclusive societies, The Muscle Up Club.

1) PULL up until you are over rings.
2) PUSH down until you are even farther from the rings.
3) Whenever the opportunity presents itself, offer your newly gained expert muscle up knowledge to the non-muscle-up-abled, or as I affectionately call them, "120ers" or "four-to-ones". If you are in doubt as to whether or not a person is attempting their first muscle up, simply assume that he or she is and do not hesitate to recite your list of pointers.

Another thing:
You will, on the rare occasion, come across grumps who will tell you to "shut the f*** up" or to "go f*** yourself". However, do not let this dissuade you from sharing your wealth of muscle up wisdom. They will eventually come around once you elevate them (pun VERY intended!) to the next level.

Now I am tempted to just get a "4-2-1" tattoo and NEVER do a muscle up. Groucho said it best - "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member."

During Open Gym Hours Tonight (8:00 - 9:30) I will be happy to monitor and time any member wanting to make up this past Saturday's (Thruster/Double Under) or Sunday's (Cleans / GHD Sit-up) WOD's.

(We need to find a wrench or vice-grips to tighten up the bolts on the GHD, which has been welded.)

More experienced members can make up last Friday's CFT or today's WOD.

Jeff, my foot is 95% healed. My middle finger has about 80% flexibility. My pinkie is still in a splint. My met-con is in the toilet.

I was reading jesterday's comments and I see everybody saying jacinto's wod. I just want say that I did not make up this wod. I had it in my bag with all the wods that Ihave done and made up for myself since I've been in crossfit.I don't remember where I got this one from.I just don't want anyone to think that I made this one up.

Andrew - I don't think I can make it. However, after you go I would like to hear your thoughts on the film.

Brett, Hari, I was thinking maybe we WOULD want people to sign up for Open Gym hours. Or at least, keep track of who is attending, for our general stats on who's using the gym when. But yeah, for now, no need to pre-register to show up.

Also, just wanted to mention that I'm in the process of fixing MINDBODY Online to accurately reflect when classes are actually happening. I know right now the evening listings are wrong but I'm getting that fixed ASAP. Thanks for your patience, everybody.
