It really wasn't bad. Actually, after I finished, I thought I should have gone as RX'd. So what if I got one less rep on each round? Basically, it is midway between a slow-lift WOD and a met-con WOD. If I were Coach, I would change it to 20 seconds on, forty seconds rest.

To put it another way, in the future, I will be less intimidated about seeing this than, say, Fran or Helen.

Did at home with creative use of a kettle bell.

I basically added an extra round in so it was:

50lb right arm kb thrusters
50lb left arm kb thrusters
Strict Pullups (couldn't manage 50lb kettlebell on feet)
Burpees

right arm 76777
left arm 45444
pull ups 77777
burpees 66666

Also, I dont think it was physically possible for me to do any more than 6 burpees in 15 seconds. I think the only way of doing more would be to do a smaller jump at the end, but then it wouldn't really have been a proper burpee?

Sam-I completley agree-I could not imagine how anyone got to do more than 7 repeatdely- Greg was doing 7 and he was moving really fast-i was just making 6. maybe if you are on the short side it can happen and seeing as you have long arms/legs and were doing them as we certards were taught 6 is really fair and makes sense for what you were able to get--I was looking at some of the posts on the main site and could not figure out how people were getting such high burpee numbers in 15 seconds doing them fully and getting in on their squats/heels bc we were all working mad fast today and 7 was really as high as it got and that was not so common

I was blown away by those numbers. and wished maybe I were shorter?

Sam/Michelle - I get your point about the burpees but I think it is telling that it appears that I could not break past 5, you and Michelle could not seem to break past 6 and Greg could not break past 7...

Something to consider is that because of Greg's injury, he's been doing a LOT of burpees over the last few months. What I see happening here is (on reflection) the unremarkable event of Greg getting 7 because...well, he's practiced a lot of burpees nearly every day at home and now has his body conditioned to fire out a lot of burpees in a short amount of time. I said on reflection because this was not obvious to me at the time. During and after my round I made similar observations, feeling my numbers were probably short 1 of a "well that's gotta be the most one could do because of time limits..." ceiling. Then later I watched Brian do 6 thrusters. When I thought 6 might be on the edge of possible, I watched Greg go off and hit 7's with regularly.

So for a strong, trained individual who has optimized their exercise cycle time through lots of practice, I would not be surprised to see rounds of 7, 8, 8 or even more.
