Hari-that is a great time! A2 what do u account for the amazing cut in time? is it the gact that you can do so many more kipping pullups now? thati a huge shave off the time. wow!

pushups took a little over 7 minutes-yikes

did 11 deadhang pullups after on my door gym piece of crap-took 1:10. I picked 11 bc thats when the door gym fell off the door.

Oh Angie, my first crossfit WOD. And just in case anyone was wondering, 100 pull-ups still suck... 27:50 as R'xd and coughing up my lungs the whole time. Sorry about that everyone.

Michelle: Last time I did Angie was the first time I did it with kipping pull-ups. They took me 16 minutes but they were mostly singles.

This time they took me 10 or 12 minutes? I started off with 12 in a row not to burn out. Then started a few sets of 5 before my hands tore open and started bleeding around 40. After that they were 1s, 2s and 3s because it freakin hurt. So I couldn't really use my kip as much as I wanted.

So I'm not sure it was because I'm better at kipping. I think my push-ups were faster and the sit ups and squats were for sure fatser. I made up a lot of time with them.

I think over all my conditioning has just improved since last time. I was able to move from each exercise without a break and take shorter rests.
I'm happy about that because I'm starting to worry that I'm making big jumps in the strength department but not in the met con. I think I should start focusing on getting my times down.

But.. not as fast as Hari. He seriously DOVE from the pull-up bar into push-up position! I've never seen anything like it. Good work Hari.

Rifle bayonet combat.

Combat Readiness Test
Rope climb in full combat gear.
Run 3 miles in combat boots and utilities with M16A2 rifle, 2 full canteens and wargear with kevlar helmet, under 27 minutes.
Casualty Evacuation: 100m fireman carry; run there and carry casualty back (200m total) under 45 seconds
2:00 max pushups (30 passing, 50 to max)
Fire and maneuver, high crawl, low crawl, rush and attack stationary targets (completion).

Add 3 mile hike to bivouac location and night land nav and stir.

Week 7 starts Monday, and so far so good. I went to call Marisela today, and realized I had hers and Alison's #s mixed up, so Marisela needs to email me at gabriel.sganga@gmail.com. As of now, it doesn't look as if I'll be coming back to NY before my follow-on school. I'll be up for weekends though, and anticipate hitting up the noon class on Saturday. None of this Fran crap though, I need more than 5 minutes of workout time!

33:45 (benchmark). I don't know how to feel about this time. It is the first metcon WOD that I did as Rx'd, so I feel a little proud, but I also think that my strength (or lack thereof) lead this to much less metcon than it should be. Well, guess I have to start grinding out the pulls and pushes. See you guys on Monday or Tuesday.

When I first did this workout I did pullups with a band and I'm not sure I was able to do all 100 pushups without resorting to dropping my knees. It took me forever. I think the first time I did it with real pullups took me 30 minutes to do just the 100 pullups. So when I do the whole workout in less than 30 minutes, I'm a happy guy.

Still there is always plenty of room for improvement.

yeah kurt it would have taken me a good 30 mintes at least just to do the pullups bc i could never had done 100 kipped and i would have had to have grabbed the band at some point so that would have put my score way into he 45 minute range and i am sure everything else -at least pushups would have slowed down having had just done the pushups...
