Who says tall guys can't deadlift?
NYC Armwrestling!
Here is the one who controls your destiny for Saturday morning class. Be scared, be very, very scared...

This morning's class is full - does the sign up policy count for the weekend, as there is no "other" class to attend that day? I can't replicate fight gone bad anywhere else...
Tom,
I'm in the same boat. I'm going to come in and maybe do something in Bryant Park if things are too full...
I'm available to keep the Box open for additional heats of FGB, if none of the other instructors are available past the normal end of class.
scarery looking guy
I'll be dropping by as well.
I'll be at the Box from noon to 2 training clients and I don't mind if you guys want to do FGB as long as there's (relative) quiet and space to train each of my 2 clients...
Hey guys...as some of you know, we finished the Elements workshop last night (which i wish had gone for twice as long...so much more to learn/practice..Thanks to everyone involved - class mates and coaches :)so..my first on-my-own WOD..i had to modify some of the excercises due to equipment availability...this is what i ended up with..
Burpees
10lb db thrusters
55lb sumo high pulls
box jumps (only about 12"..all they had)
55lb push-press
score 215...i'm not sure what to think of that...
209 (85, 64, 60)
This morning was pretty hectic, but Josh and Mike managed to get things running smoothly.
126, 99, 90 = 315 (PR by 2 points)
080319: 119, 99, 95 = 313
SDHP, BJump and PPress scores for each day were virtually identical. Last time I started with Wall Ball and finished with Row. This time I started with the C2 and WB was the second exercise. Rowing score went up compared to last time, wall ball score went down, total for both exercises were 145 and 144. So this is a long-winded way of saying that I'm guessing it doesn't matter much what exercise you start with.
258 (pr)
Thanks Greg!
Nice score Ewen, what was your rowing break down?
Trainers,
I forgot to sign the book this morning. Just wanted to confirm that I was there today.
269
12 kg kettlebell for sdh and push press, 8 kg thrusters for wall ball.
Thanks Brett,
28, 23, 20 today
20, 16, 18 ten days ago
Good stuff Ewen.
PR of 282. Thanks Justin for counting and yelling. Be sure to check out the 125 pix from this morning. My favorites are Erica's one arm row, Josh's Box Puke Bag, sweat angels, and Moon's hand tattoo.
that was just awful. in a good way.
moon- you are awesome. leslie--amazing. hari-thank god u were there-i would have left after those first sdhps.
that was the most fun i have had at the box in a long time.
but i still have a smashing headache.
i did a clean and split jerk sorta thing today to make up for yesterday. Had to go light for lack of platforms at riverbank sp.
5 jerks/5 split jerks
#45, #65, #75, #85, #95
i really needed it. I had to get out some agression. If i didnt workout i would probablly have killed someone already.
272 - PR. Thanks to all who encouraged and Greg who counted (yeah..that bag waving was not helping...:) ). Being in the sparse 3rd heat meant I had nearly 10 people pushing me on for that last row round. Or maybe it was just 4 - how many twins do we have at the Box anyway?
Claire B - I think that's a really good start. Welcome to the super-fit elite who walk amongst the normals. :)
Dan - Sorry about your camera. If you bring it to work, PLEASE explain that that stuff is chalk.
Hari and Michele - you two were a great combination to watch. Hari, I hope your hearing has returned after Michele screamed that last wallball rep up through you from her position at your side. :)
Erica - One arm rows. That's all I'm gonna say.
Josh - You and the clown just need to go get a room and end the sexual tension.
Marisela - Keep your criminal mind calm. You KNOW you are too cute to wind up in prison.
To the post-workout midtown touring group - MARATHONS SUCK!
296, which breaks my heart in 4 different ways.
Seriously considering adopting the nickname "Torch"
259-eh. Had no intention of doing FGB until Coach P told me I was going to so not bad for being unmotivated.
Moon-my pleasure and the bag was a grim reminder of days long gone. You killed it.
Dan Def-you were a monster and the hair was too.
Michelle and Hari-once again you gives us something to aspire to
Kevin W aka "Torch"-you smoked it today.
Justin and Leslie-thank you for leading us on a fun movie group trip!
Smallville-run fatboy run!
jack-u r looking very chiseled these days. cocktail cheekbones.
moon-next time i am going to be ur partner
u will break 300 just because u will want the screaming to end. :)
