    Yay! Been eager to grab that “800” line by the lapels, throw it up against a wall, and…tickle it until it says it might pee (in an era of easily-returned presents, I don’t want to push Santa to retro-Naughty Listing me on Boxing Day. Now when the original packaging is thrown away….oh yes….) Having finally recovered from the haste and hustle of The 12 Days of CrossFi…er…Christmas, and so long as there are favorable winds and low traffic, I should make it back just in time to play.
    Hope everyone had a good holiday…or at least a nice break from routine while the city, save for Chinese food restaurants, shut down!

    After using our holiday at home to recuperate, Christine and I would also like to say how much we enjoyed the Thursday shindig. It was great to hang out / meet everyone and we look forward to doing so again.
    That being said, even though we went to my work’s xmas party beforehand, we both were of the impression that we were on the right track to have ample fun yet be totally cognizant the next morning.
    Then Jack Bauer made us a few drinks…
    And then someone else (I think it may have been Juan) didn’t think our drinks were strong enough for tabata shots…
    Then things got a little hazy. And needless to say we were not feeling right the next day. But it was great to hang out with the future Mrs. Durden (so Tyler, you have an awesome job AND an awesome fiancée? Can you put in a good word for me with the devil?!). And although you put us on our asses (literally, we think Christine might have fallen at some point), Bauer you definitely got the party done right. Solid work. Thanks to everyone for such a great time.
    Hopefully I didn‚Äôt get too crazy. But if I did, it‚Äôs someone else’s fault anyways! Happy holidays all.

    Tom it was great meeting you and Christine, and it’s a compliment to a bartender to know that the people I served drinks to had fun, passed out, wound up in compromising situations, or almost got thrown out a window (like Tyler almost did to Robzilla).
    After the 12 days of Christmas (more like the End of Days workout) I think I have some left to hit up the total and see if I can crack 820.
    I don’t want to go too hard lest I hurt my Xbox fingers!

    Can’t wait to get my hands on that book. Rip is awesome. I’m ordering it today.
    Had Christmas dinner with my whole family last night after all.
    I haven’t seen any of them in about 6 months.
    My uncles kept challenging me to push up contests but then changed their minds becuase they said said I have an advantage because I bounce off the ground. I think they’re just scared.
    My grandpa made me arm wrestle him. He beat me.
    All of my little cousins were doing pushups and saying “look at me look at me”! It’s so easy to set a good example for kids. All of the men in my family are really strong. The women mostly want to be skinny and try for it with dieting. That’s going to change if I have anything to do with it!.
    They all said they couldn’t believe that I didn’t have a pregnant looking belly anymore and that I have muscles. My grandparents told me I’m staring to look manly and that I should be careful. I told them to brace themselves next time they see me. I showed them my Eva T calendar and told them that’s what I’m shooting for someday.

  • 830 (300, 145, 375). I just wasn’t feeling it today. I was especially disappointed with my press and DL, cuz that’s 25lbs and 40lbs off my PRs, respectively. Needed more rest, needed more time. I was pressed for time cuz of a date. Oh well. I was “pleased” with my squat at least.

    I want to thank you guys for letting my cousin and I work out, today. That 12 days of Christmas workout was brutal. You guys are welcome at CF Atlanta anytime.

    hope u all had a great xmas. managed some lunges in the hallway of my hotel floor. i got to 100 when the housekeeper politely asked me to stop bc she couldn’t get the towel bin through. i was crushed. i REALLY wanted to do 400. then some tabata pushps, sit ups, squats
    i also REALLY miss the rower. perhaps it “fell” out the window thursday night?
    topped off by tabata oreo snacks. score -2. 🙂

    Just worked up to failure as below vs the 3 attempt way…

    Press, 135×5,155×2,165×1,170,172.5 Fail
    Dead, 315×3,365×1,385,395,400,405 Fail, 405,407.5,410,412.5Fail. Breathing was all funny for the 1st 405 pull, got it fine the 2nd attempt
    Just felt really good today. Lifted in Chucks vs my usual Sambas, 4pm workout today vs typical 9am, triple Whopper in my belly today vs typical milk and nuts, all of it made a difference. w00t.

    I did my first total ever and I must say I am proud of the results
    845-275, 165, 405
    Back squat -225, 245, 275 (blindfolded-Keith upped the weight and didn’t tell me what it was to get over the mental block)
    Press 155 (old PR), 165 (New PR) 170 fail
    DL-Felt really good today 345, 365 (old PR), 385, then 405!
    1000 in 2008 baby!
